Google recently announced rich snippets for recipes, which is a way of providing more data in a search result.

The Front-End team for Scripps Networks (of which I am a member) embedded the hRecipe microformat on FoodNetwork.com not so long ago.

You will soon see Food Network recipes turning up in this form in Google as recipes are re-cached and re-indexed.

Soon, hRecipe will be on our other Food-related offerings: Recipezaar.com and the soon-to-be-released Cooking Channel website.

This is a big win for us at FoodNetwork.com and a big win for the microformats community!
